About The Developer
Dr. Joseph E. Pechter, D.M.D. graduated magna cum laude at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed a three year residency in Periodontogy at Tufts and earned the distinction of Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery, the designation awarded to a Board Certified Periodontist. Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Pechter graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Dartmouth College, where he created a patented text-to-speech application as part of his honors thesis. PerioVoice Pro is one of several mobile apps he has since developed, including BrainMRIAtlas (an app that labels and identifies brain structures in an MRI scan) and Wordsplain! (a fast-paced word guessing game). He currently practices in his Periodontal Practice in Hollywood, FL and lives nearby with his fiancé.
